Despite the beautiful sunny days, in the mornings the air has a slight chill, a small hint that autumn is approaching, that winter is coming.
Sitting in a park on a wonderful sunny day it’s all but impossible to make the intellectual leap to grey dreary cold and rainy. Fall is a different matter, because in Berlin, the plethora of deciduous trees means we have a short but spectacular autumn.
But enough, the rain is still falling in the night and the days are bright and warm, there will be enough time in the coming winter to write about being cold.
Today’s picture is a HDR picture with a three-stop bracket. I find this sort of technology breathtaking, and being able to break fundamental photographic rules like not shooting directly into the sun and still have a fully tonal ranged image is just wonderful. I didn’t have a tripod so an accommodating metal barrier was used to stabilize the camera for the three frames needed to make this HDR image.
