Soon the full bloom of spring will be upon us and with it the beginning of the vast array of street festivals that make the warmer months of Berlin so interesting for people such as myself who are addicted to taking pictures and fully embrace the opportunities street parades offer.
This picture is from last year’s Gay Parade, an event I enjoy photographing although I have never used any of the pictures before now. But as I have often said in the past, taking pictures is like putting money in the bank, they will always be there for you unless something untoward happens, in this case a harddrive crash or something similar. Odd when you think about how the losses in one’s personal digital world often reflects situations on a wider scale that impact the real world.
