Patience Rewarded

This is another picture from last weekend’s Berliner Hafenfest. Because the harbor was celebrating its 25th Anniversary there was a large coming together of old harbor boats, one from as far away as Scandinavia. Open to the public, the boats interior attracted me because of the vast tonal range of light. Also the harsh contrasts of the chains, clutter and gritty metal surfaces made it a photographer’s delight, so I took advantage of the opportunity and shot a few frames.

Anyone who has followed the blog for a while will instantly recognize my predilection for people within frames within the frame which we have here. It was no accident – I waited patiently for this sort of configuration and patience is definitely not one of my strong points.
